Abe (along with Talon) got to try out his new big boy bike the other day. He was all decked out in his helmet and elbow and knee pads. I always looked at kids with all this garb on with pity until it was time for my little man to ride like a maniac on hard surfaces. Now I don't think I would let him out without them.
Abe's Dr. told us that he once had a patient that got a skull fracture while riding a bike in his backyard. He hit his swingset! So, if I can help to prevent an injury you better believe that I will do all I can. It doesn't hurt that he thinks they are cool, SpiderMan afterall! (Thanks to the Guffy's for such a cool birthday present!)
