We got to see the Space Shuttle Launch on Monday at 2:01 p.m.! It was awesome. I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it or not but ended up loving it. There were so many people and the cheers and smiles from everyone was unforgettable. Most of the kids were a little disappointed because they expected to see a "rocket" and not just a ball of fire. We were about 7 miles away and that was as close as they would let you get. If you had a plot of land anywhere along this strip of land you would have made a small fortune on charging others to park! We paid $20 and still had to walk a bit to get to our viewing spot.
