Finally home

We are home from the hospital. Abe was released around 6 pm tonight. Soooo glad to be home. As far as we know he had some kind of virus. Blood work showed his white blood count was elevated, infection somewhere. They gave him a steroid shot and a penicillin shot along with lots of fluids in his IV. He had a fever, sore throat and congestion and coughing like crazy. He ended up being dehydrated because his throat felt so yucky that he didn't want to eat or drink anything.

This was our first hospital stay and it will hopefully be out last, if not I hope the next one is many years down the road. Keeping a two year old occupied while attached to an IV pole is not the easiest thing in the world. Once he got to feeling better there was no keeping him in the bed. On top of all of this we had to stay 4 hours in the hallway while we were under a tornado warning. Fun Fun. Don't worry I have plenty of pictures to tell our hospital stay story. (Photos to come later, still haven't downloaded them).

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. He is not back to himself just yet, but on the road to recovery.
