We took Abe back to the Dr. today for yet another check up! He still has his croupy cough and was only suppose to be taking his breathing treatments for one week (ending tomorrow.) So, he listened to his lungs and said that the left lung still has some congestion. So, we are continuing the breathing treatments for another week and he gave us some medicine that should clear this mess up. We are praying that it does.
Also, Chad bought a Kenmore True HEPA Air Cleaner for the house today. It is suppose to capture 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns from air passing through the filter. Suppose to effectively filter airborne irritants such as: dust, smoke, pet Dander, pollen, mold spores, and fabric fibers. So, hopefully this will also help Abe. Should be helpful to all of us. He researched these things and they are suppose to be so good that even if you are allergic to animals that you can still have them in the house with you and not be sick!! So... If by chance Abe is allergic to Dorothy (the dog) then maybe this will help.
So keep us all in your prayers, please! Two doses of medicine a day and 2-3 breathing treatments a day for another week. Those of you that have had to give a child medicine know how hard this can be at times.

Awe I hate that little Abe is having to do another week of this. But I am glad that they kept him on it till he gets better. I hate that its snowing and he is sick!! Those air fliters are great my mother in law has one and loves hers!! About the giving of meds have you tried letting him give it to himself? Morgan loves to hold the cup she thinks it means she a big girl. Plus we have a book about sam the bear that is sick and has to take his meds and she loves to read it before she takes hers. I hope he can get through one more week and you too!! Hugs and prayers!!!
We normally have to put his meds in the squirter thing that the infant motrin comes with. We have several of those and sometimes have to use 3 at a time (depending on the dosage) and he will squirt it in himself. He said this morning "It tastes yucky" and it does!! The joys of Motherhood! Ha ha
Oh bless your heart I am so sorry That it taste bad did they add the flavor stuff to it for him? I know now you can buy a kit to add it yourself. Not sure how it works or if it makes it taste any better. Good luck and I will pray for you all!
