MADISONVILLE, KY (WFIE) - Kentucky Utilities and Madisonville utility crews have been working around the clock to restore a transmission line.
That line could be back on Friday night, so folks in the Center and McKoy Street area may have power restored.
The utility companies say their crews will be working all weekend to get more power restored.
They are asking for patience.
The news is not so good in Muhlenberg County. Officials there say it could take two weeks to replace a main transmission line.
Residents are being urged to move out of their cold homes and stay with friends or relatives or go to shelters at the First and Second Baptist churches.
